  • 1 cup butter crackers (like Ritz), crushed (about 25 crackers)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease the casserole dish.

Making the Casserole

  1. In a medium bowl, combine:
    • Sugar
    • Flour
    • Salt
    • Reserved pineapple juice Mix until smooth.
  2. Add drained pineapple chunks to the sugar mixture and stir gently.
  3. Pour pineapple mixture into the prepared casserole dish.
  4. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese evenly over the pineapple mixture.
  5. In a small bowl, combine:
    • Crushed butter crackers
