Cottage Cheese Chips

Description

A high-protein, low-carb snack made from baked cottage cheese. These crispy chips are perfect for satisfying crunchy cravings while providing nutritional benefits.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cottage cheese (4% or 2% fat)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional seasonings:
    • Italian herbs
    • Ranch seasoning
    • Taco seasoning
    • Everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat
  3. Process cottage cheese:
    • Place in food processor
    • Blend until completely smooth
    • No lumps should remain
  4. Add seasonings to cottage cheese:
    • Garlic powder
    • Onion powder
    • Black pepper
    • Salt
    • Any additional seasonings Mix well

Making the Chips

  1. Spread mixture on prepared baking sheet:
    • Use spatula to spread very thinly
    • Create an even layer
    • Approximately 1/8 inch thick
    • Leave no holes or gaps
  2. Score the mixture:
    • Use knife to score into chip-sized squares
    • This makes breaking apart easier after baking
  3. Bake:
    • Place in preheated oven
    • Bake for 25-30 minutes
    • Edges should be golden brown
    • Center should be set
  4. Cool and break:
    • Let cool completely on baking sheet
    • Break along score lines
    • Store in airtight container
