- 1/2 teaspoon oil (optional)

Preparation
- Create a foil pouch:
- Tear off a 10×10 inch piece of aluminum foil
- Fold up edges to create a bowl shape with 1-inch sides
- Make sure foil is sealed well at corners
- Place popcorn kernels in foil pouch:
- Add kernels
- Add oil if using
- Fold top loosely to allow for expansion
Cooking Process
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C)
- Place foil pouch in air fryer basket:
- Center the pouch
- Leave room for expansion
- Ensure air can circulate
- Cook for 8-10 minutes:
- Listen for popping sounds
- Continue cooking until popping slows to 2-3 seconds between pops
- Don’t open air fryer during cooking
- Remove carefully:
- Use oven mitts
- Open foil packet away from face
- Watch for steam
Serving
- Transfer to serving bowl
- Season while hot:
- Add salt
- Add butter if desired
- Add other seasonings as preferred
